Wood looks right on a terrace but teak needs oiling or accepts going silver, and lower-grade hardwoods crack. The Boardwalk uses wood-look composite slats on a black powder-coated frame: the warmth of timber with nothing to oil. The composite slats resist moisture and do not splinter, and the arms are capped in the same material so hands meet something warm rather than cold metal.
The frame is welded and powder-coated, with glides that keep it off wet decking. It pairs naturally with the Pier pedestal table and with timber or stone hardscape.
Care. Composite slats need only a wash with mild soap and water; there is no oiling schedule and no silvering to manage. Like all materials outdoors, the slats may mellow slightly in tone over years of sun. The black frame shows dust more than mid-tones, so include it in the regular rinse routine. Ask for the composite tone that best matches your decking or table tops; we send samples on request.
