Some sidewalk programs do not allow solid barriers but do allow planters to define the café zone. The Green Edge turns that into seating: a planter the full length of the booth forms its back. The planter is 35 in (900 mm) tall and 14 in (350 mm) deep, with a matte black aluminum liner inside teak slat cladding, a drainage layer and an antique-bronze-finish drain spout so excess water leaves where you want it to. Recessed hand grips in the sides let two people lift and reposition the empty unit.
The booth stands 2 in (50 mm) off the ground for drainage. Plants are not supplied; your local nursery can choose species that suit your sun and height limits.
Planting and care. Choose plants that suit your sun exposure and stay below any height limit your program sets for sightlines at corners and driveways. The drainage layer keeps roots out of standing water, and the spout lets you direct runoff away from walkways. Empty the planter, or at least reduce the soil load, before moving the unit; filled planters are heavy and should be treated as fixed during the season.
